It is undisputed that two-time Golden Guitar Winner Jetty Road is one of the best Australian country-folk bands of our time. The trio is made up of identical twins Paula and Lee Bowman and Julian Sammut, who already have a 10-year career behind them and are at the peak of what so far has been an illustrious music career. The band completed a highly successful Australian-wide tour in 2015 for the release of their latest album, ‘Hearts On Fire’, which was recorded in picturesque Calgary, Canada. The album sky-rocketed to #2 on The Aria Chart and #1 on the Country Tracks Chart in the first few weeks of release! Music Matters was lucky enough to be joined by Jetty Road for a live performance special in late 2014, just prior to the band heading over to Canada to record their album. We recently caught up with band member Lee Bowman for an exclusive interview and update on some of their success of late for SwitchOn Music Magazine and this is what Lee had to say about the Music Matters debut album:

Now, as you know, Music Matters is releasing their own charity album this year. Is there anything you’d like to share with the artists involved?

“I think when a whole bunch of young talent comes together for a project like that, there’s tremendous energy that comes with it. And I think it’ll just be amazing. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. With everyone coming together and putting something in, I think you’ll have a phenomenal album. Best of luck to all of the young musicians!

We absolutely love Music Matters and what it does to help young people get a start in the entertainment industry today. SBN and the team behind the scenes do an amazing job nurturing and supporting the kids’ development and they play an integral role in harnessingso many young peoples’ passion, energy and talent, to channel it into something tangible, so they can see and pursue a real future in the industry. Wish Music Matters was around when we were starting out!’

Thank you Jetty Road, Music Matters loves you too!
