These awards were an instant success with over 280 nominations received from 11 countries, and they are now an annual event on the Funky Kids Radio calendar, with nominations opening on 1 November each year. Finalists are chosen in January by a combination of People’s Choice voting and a Selection Committee and then the category finalists are assessed by an International Panel of Judges comprised of industry professionals and children/teenagers from around the world. Winners are announced on Valentine’s Day each year.
